The Covid19 "epidemic" has had an impact on practically everyone on the planet.

We started this game's background with the intention of a warning of Government intervention, Big Pharma, Media and Tech working not for the Greater Good of humanity but for its danger to be  tyrannical. This virus has shown that people are very willing to give up their freedoms for the perception of safety. The lesson we intend to push is not a bias. It's to be a free thinker. To not always trust what a government says, what "experts" say, wether it be Science, Economy, Technology, etc. People have motives so it is important to understand those motives to understand where their position may be coming from. People that are in government will protect government, even government with well known Human Rights violations. They will get appointed to world organizations as a spokesperson for the country's propaganda. Same can be said for  large corporations (Big Pharma), (Big Tech). They all put on a good front of being for "The Greater Good" but you have to remember that was also the kind of thing Nazi Germany, Communist Soviet Union, and Communist China portrayed to their people and the outside world. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is probably a DUCK!

The loose background of Codename Buenos  Aires is how the cooperation of Big Tech, Big Pharma, the Media, and  Government has caused a shift in the freedoms of the people in the World.  How Government uses Gene Splicing, virus developing/manipulation, and DNA research to develop Biological Weapons,  then uses Big Tech to build the Data to create the narrative of the benefits so the Media can glamorize and perpetuate the need while defending the immoral behavior and demonizing its critics. The Government then uses the fear, propaganda, and authority to control the people.

With that said. With the current world as we see it, we feel a tremendous importance to finish this game and to not only have an enjoyable gameplay experience but to hopefully send a message to people to be a little more aware of what they may be choosing by hoping for security while they lose their freedom.
